Position: Dietary Aide Schedule: Full time 40 hours week. Weekends, holidays, and events as needed. This role provides full-scope, hands on serving functions withinthe skilled nursing facility. Essential Job Duties:Prepares special feedings, nourishments, and snacks as ordered for service,including daily garnish.Verify ordered food items needed for meals are available and ready forservice, including daily garnish.Covers, labels, dates and stores all food items.Maintains a well-stocked kitchen while rotating stock.Accurately sets up meal trays and dining room tables per tray ticket.Checks for accuracy of plated foods at time of service, adjusting asnecessary.Clears dishes from tables during and after meal service.Returns soiled trays and service ware to dishwashing area via closed foodcart.Removes and replaces soiled linens after each meal and delivers to laundry inproper bag supplied by laundry.Maintains a sanitary work area by following daily cleaning schedules andthoroughly cleaning and sanitizing work area after each mealAttends in-service training and education sessions as assigned.Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.Qualifications:Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicateeffectively.Experience waiting tables in a hotel, restaurant or club with fine diningpreferred; will train.Ability to interpret and explain menu, refer, or answer questions, coordinatemeal service process and understands requests.Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors,families, management and peers. All new hires must be able to pass our preemployment screening process, whichincludes a fitness for duty physical, criminal background check, drug test andemployment references as required by a licensed residential care facility.
