In this role, you will serve as the technical escalation point for complex customer issues, working closely with Support, Engineering, QA, and Product Management to ensure the stability, reliability, and performance of our file storage solutions. This position requires strong experience in enterprise file systems, Linux environments, storage architectures, and advanced troubleshooting.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nAdvanced Troubleshooting & Escalation\r\nServe as the highest-level of technical support for StorNext and Xcellis media streaming, supporting L1/L2 engineers, field teams, and enterprise customers.\r\nDiagnose, resolve or escalate complex issues involving:\r\nFile system performance and scalability\r\nMetadata controller (MDC) behavior\r\nSAN and LAN client access\r\nTiering policies and data lifecycle behavior\r\nReplication and synchronization workflows\r\nMulti-tier storage interactions (SSD, HDD, tape, cloud)\r\nPerform deep-dive analysis of logs, metadata structures, system traces, and performance metrics\r\nReproduce, isolate, and document product defects with full diagnostic context.\r\nWork L1, L2 support and engineering teams to:\r\nValidate fixes\r\nImprove diagnostics and observability\r\nEnhance product reliability and performance\r\nParticipate in defect triage and drive issues through resolution.\r\nCustomer Issue Resolution\r\nProvide hands-on support for high-severity incidents, including workflow outages and performance degradation.\r\nAssist customers with\r\nWorkflow and application performance\r\nConnectivity troubleshooting (SAN/NAS)\r\nSystem configuration and optimization\r\nOngoing Engineering Collaboration\r\nSupport validation of patches, firmware updates, and new releases.\r\nDevelop repeatable troubleshooting approaches and improve resolution processes.\r\nIdentify recurring issues and contribute to long-term support improvements.\r\nDocumentation & Knowledge Transfer\r\nCreate or maintain\r\nRoot cause analysis and documentation\r\nKnowledge base articles\r\nInternal training guides\r\nMentor L1/L2 teams and drive escalation quality improvements.\r\nOperational Responsibilities\r\nParticipate in on-call rotation for mission-critical environments.\r\nAssist with readiness validation for new product releases, patches, and maintenance updates.\r\nRequired Qualifications\r\n5–10+ years in enterprise storage, hardware systems, or archive environments\r\nStrong knowledge of Linux internals and system debugging\r\nUnderstanding of\r\nHigh-performance file systems\r\nNAS/SAN protocols (NFS, SMB, fibre channel)\r\nMetadata management and scaling\r\nMulti-tier storage architectures\r\nExperience analyzing logs across distributed systems.\r\nWilling and able to come to our office in Centennial, CO during core business hours (Tuesday - Thursday 10am-4pm).\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\nExperience with shared file systems.\r\nKnowledge of storage lifecycle management (HSM, tiering, policy engines).\r\nFamiliarity with scripting (Python, Bash).\r\nExperience in media, HPC, or large-scale workflow environments.\r\nExperience leveraging AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Chatbots, or similar technologies) to enhance troubleshooting efficiency and automate analysis.\r\nSoft Skills\r\nStrong communication and customer-facing skills.\r\nAbility to lead technical discussions during critical incidents.\r\nStructured, analytical problem solver.\r\nCollaborative and self-driven.\r\nQuantum provides a diverse portfolio of health plans for medical and prescription, dental, vision, life, disability, and supplemental medical insurance options.
