{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"ffdbd2a5f2d2716d902e2d35","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/ffdbd2a5f2d2716d902e2d35","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/ffdbd2a5f2d2716d902e2d35","title":"Product & Process Development Engineer","description":"Position Overview\nWe are seeking a Product & Process Development Engineer (PDE) to support new product introduction (NPI) and drive the seamless transition from concept to mass production.\n\nThis role sits at the intersection of product design, manufacturing process development, and global operations , acting as a key technical bridge between customer engineering teams and Lens's manufacturing network.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nCustomer-Facing Product Development\n\nPartner with customer design, mechanical, and manufacturing teams during early development phases\n\nProvide DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly) recommendations\n\nSupport design reviews, tolerance analysis, and material selection\n\nProcess Development & Industrialization\n\nDevelop and validate manufacturing processes for precision components and assemblies (glass, metal, composites, etc.)\n\nDefine process flows, tooling, fixtures, and control plans\n\nLead process qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) and capability validation\n\nNPI Program Execution\n\nDrive end-to-end NPI builds (EVT / DVT / PVT through mass production)\n\nIdentify technical risks and implement mitigation strategies during ramp\n\nCoordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, quality, and operations\n\nCross-Regional Engineering Collaboration\n\nTranslate customer requirements into actionable specifications for global manufacturing sites\n\nPartner with Asia and Mexico teams to ensure process readiness and yield targets\n\nSupport onsite builds and production ramp as needed\n\nQuality & Continuous Improvement\n\nAnalyze yield issues and lead root cause analysis (RCA)\n\nImplement corrective actions to improve quality and process stability\n\nSupport sustaining engineering activities and engineering change management (ECO/ECN)\n\nQualifications\nExperience\n\n5–10+ years in product engineering, process engineering, or NPI roles\n\nExperience in EMS / contract manufacturing environments preferred\n\nBackground in consumer electronics, robotics/AI hardware, or automotive/EV\n\nTechnical Expertise\n\nStrong understanding of manufacturing processes (CNC, molding, coating, assembly, etc.)\n\nSolid knowledge of DFM/DFA and GD&T, including tolerance stack‑up analysis\n\nHands‑on experience with NPI phases (EVT / DVT / PVT mass production)\n\nCollaboration & Communication\n\nAbility to work directly with customer engineering teams\n\nStrong cross‑functional coordination across global teams\n\nComfortable working in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments\n\nLanguage\n\nFluent in English;
