In this role, you will perform financial planning, analysis, and cost control activities to ensure accurate cost tracking, forecasting, and adherence to all contractual, regulatory, and internal requirements. You will partner closely with Program Managers, the VP of Operations, and accounting teams to deliver clear visibility into cost, schedule, and performance across assigned contracts. Your responsibilities include budget development, variance analysis, compliance monitoring, and driving effective project execution. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capabilities, experience supporting government contracts, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams to ensure programs are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget\nWHAT YOU WILL DO:\nSupport financial management of government contracts, including costplus, fixedprice, and timeandmaterials programs\nDevelop, maintain, and analyze project budgets, Estimates at Completion (EAC), and Estimates to Complete (ETC)\nMay Perform Earned Value Management (EVM) analysis, including CPI, SPI, variance analysis, and trend reporting\nPrepare monthly project financial reports, forecasts, and management briefings\nCollaborate with Program Managers and CAMs to review cost performance, risks, and corrective actions\nTrack and analyze contract funding, burn rates, and ceiling limitations\nSupport work breakdown structure (WBS) development and alignment with cost accounts\nAssist with monthend close activities related to project accounting and revenue recognition\nEnsure compliance with government regulations and standards (e.g., FAR, DFARS, EVMS guidelines)\nSupport internal and external audits, including DCMA, DCAA, and internal compliance reviews\nAssist in preparing cost proposals, pricing models, and BOEs for new business and contract modifications\nContribute to continuous improvement of project controls processes, reporting tools, and data accuracy\nWHAT WE REQUIRE:\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field\nMinimum of 5 years of progressive project controls experience supporting DoD or federal government contracts\nAdvanced proficiency in Excel (financial modeling, variance analysis, pivot tables, lookups, macros, stringing together multiple excel formulas and generating tables for analysis)\nStrong analytical skills with attention to detail and data integrity\nAbility to communicate financial and earned value concepts to nonfinancial stakeholders\nStrong analytical, problemsolving, and communication skills.\nAbility to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple priorities\nSelf motivated\nComplete standalone work\nThrive in a teamoriented environment\nStrong desire and ability to research, analyze, and dig deeply into complex, multi layered financial contract data.\nPreferred Qualifications\nFamiliarity with FAR, DFARS, DCAA, and DCMA requirements\nExperience working with ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Costpoint, SAP, Oracle, Deltek financial/scheduling systems)\nPrior experience supporting Control Account Managers (CAMs)\nExperience in aerospace, defense, infrastructure, or federal services environments\nCore Competencies\nProject cost control and forecasting\nEarned value and performance analysis\nRegulatory compliance and audit readiness\nCrossfunctional collaboration\nRisk identification and mitigation\nProfessional judgment and discretion\nEqual Employment Opportunity Statement\nHumanIT Solutions is an equal opportunity employer.
