We are looking for a senior-level DevOps / Platform engineer who can own our cloud infrastructure, deployments, and CI/CD pipelines with a strong security mindset. This person will ensure that everything we deploy is reliable, automated, secure, and follows best practices appropriate for a cybersecurity product.\r\nThey will work closely with our engineering team and with a part-time Security Architect / cryptography PhD, who provides high-level threat modeling and privacy guidance. This role operationalizes those recommendations and makes our infrastructure safe and robust.\r\nLocation\r\nFully Remote / European residence required\r\nCompensation\r\nWork Schedule\r\nFully flexible / Full time\r\nReports to\r\nCEO\r\nMember of\r\nTo be considered for this position, you must have the following qualifications:\r\nStrong DevOps / Platform background (Azure preferred, AWS acceptable if adaptable).\r\nExperience with Infra-as-Code (Terraform/Bicep).\r\nGood understanding of secure cloud operations (least privilege, secret management, hardened pipelines).\r\nAbility to own deployments end to end in a startup environment.\r\nSenior-level autonomy and ability to build systems from scratch.\r\nIdeal candidates will also have\r\nExposure to cybersecurity, privacy, or sensitive-data handling.\r\nExperience with monitoring/observability setup.\r\nExperience with data pipeline / workflow orchestration.\r\nBackground in designing developer tooling or internal platforms.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nOwn and evolve CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar).\r\nBuild and maintain Azure-based cloud infrastructure using IaC (Terraform or Bicep).\r\nManage deployment processes, staging/production environments, and release readiness.\r\nEnsure secure operation of infrastructure: identity, access control, secrets, networking, logging.\r\nImplement monitoring, alerting, diagnostics, and operational observability.\r\nDesign and implement secure data infrastructure and the data pipelines that support our ML and analysis workflows.\r\nSupport data pipelines and backend infrastructure pieces as needed.\r\nCollaborate with the security consultant to apply secure design principles (but this is not a formal security architect role).\r\nImprove developer workflows, internal tooling, and reliability.\r\nWhy join Janea?
