{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"ffc548af6abb99b2b1968200","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/ffc548af6abb99b2b1968200","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/ffc548af6abb99b2b1968200","title":"Solid Surface (Corian) Technician","description":"S & G Manufacturing is a combination metal fabrication and woodworking facility building custom and made-to-order furnishings and millwork for the restaurant, retail and hospitality industries.\nGeneral Description\nThe Corian (Solid Surface) position operates various stationary and hand tools to assemble and finish solid surface products (countertops, trash can tops, handrails, etc.) in a timely and efficient manner.\nThis position works in a manufacturing shop environment.\nWork Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:30 am – 3:00 pm\nEssential Functions & Responsibilities\nRead work order (cut bill).\nObtain necessary raw materials, supplies and tools to perform assembly task.\nLay out raw material on work table and measures material to be cut.\nUse table saw and/or chop saw to cut material to proper dimensions.\nUse shaper and/or router to trim material and round off edges.\nAssemble products per work order using glue process and then clamps material together.\nFinish products using buffer and sander.\nPerform quality control checks on completed items to ensure a match with specifications on work order.\nTransport finished products to staging area.\nMaintains a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in an effective manner with coworkers and supervisors.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED\nPrevious Corian experience\nExperience operating hand and power tools (table and chop saws, router, sander, buffer)\nStrong shop math skills\nAbility to read a tape measure\nAbility to read work orders\nPhysical Requirements\nEmployees must regularly lift/push/pull/carry solid surface material or wood weighing 50 pounds and occasional lifting up to 100 pounds.
