Day-to-day, this role reviews project plans and specifications, performs detailed quantity takeoffs, and develops comprehensive cost breakdowns for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors. The Lead Estimator collaborates closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to clarify scope, assess risks, and ensure alignment between estimates and project objectives. This position leads the bidding process, solicits and evaluates subcontractor proposals, and prepares final bid packages and presentations.
