The engineer manages projects in the packaging department.\n\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\n\nImproves the reliability of products and packaging equipment. Works with operations on continuous improvement of packaging lines and equipment. This is a hands‑on engineering role.\n\nTroubleshoots and improves new and existing equipment. Partners with operations to gather data to identify root causes and solutions to production problems.\n\nOriginates concepts for new and existing packaging equipment, including support equipment such as conveying, robotics, instrumentation, weight control, and quality systems. Manages and engineers approved projects through to completion. Projects will cover a diverse range both in scope and area.\n\nAble to effectively communicate ideas and concepts to peers, subordinates and leadership within the organization and across organizational lines\n\nAbility to work weekends as needed.\n\nEducation and Experience\n\nBS/BA in mechanical, civil, or electrical engineering or similar discipline such as industrial engineering.\n\n2+ years in a manufacturing/industrial environment.\n\nStrong mechanical experience preferred.\n\nFundamental understanding of electrical design practices, control systems integration, electro‑mechanical drive systems, and safety.\n\nAllen Bradley PLC and Wonderware programming experience a plus.\n\nLocation\nBaltimore, MD\n\nSalary Pay Range\n$65,000 - $108,000 plus bonus\n\nThe pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.\n\nBenefits\nBenefits include healthcare (medical, dental, vision, prescription drugs) available the first of the month following 30 days of employment, 401(k) with match, life insurance, AD&D, short‑term disability, vacation, holiday and sick time.\n\nEqual Opportunity Statement\nWe are an equal opportunity employer.
