We are a remote workforce that uses Slack, Zoom, Jira, and agile development practices to keep in sync.\n\nWhat would you do in this role?\n\nAs a Senior Software Developer, you'll be working on a fast paced team responsible for the code that powers our ultimate goal of helping people invest and be smarter, happier and richer. Successful Fools have well-formed opinions (stemming from their broad experience) and the ability to jump right into code independently.\n\nBut what does this role actually do?\nDevelop and maintain web applications using a variety of technologies, including but not limited to React, Next.js, TypeScript, TailwindCSS and occasionally Python.\nCollaborate with other team members on best practices for efficient and sustainable engineering, focusing on achieving a balance between aesthetics, scalability, and performance.\nProvide and receive technical feedback through pair programming and code reviews.\nCollaborate closely with design, product, and leadership teams to anticipate future needs and align our technology roadmap with long-term goals.\nWhat do you need to apply?\n5+ years of developing highly performant and scalable web applications\nProficiency with agentic workflows and AI-driven automation\nHigh level of proficiency in React, Next.js, Typescript, GraphQL and REST APIs\nUnderstanding of backend development using Python\nExperience with AWS\nExperience working with sophisticated application state, e.g. Apollo Client, Redux\nExperience with Docker, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines for Python applications\nProven track record in high-performance teams\nExcellent problem-solving and communication skills\nFamiliarity with security best practices in web development\n\nBy applying on this site, you acknowledge that The Motley Fool will be collecting the personal data you provide for our recruiting purposes.
