Metro West MA firm offering expert accounting and bookkeeping services seeking a Tax/Accounting ProfessionalHours/Schedule: 20+ hours/weekJob Type: ContractLocation Requirements: Mostly remote with some on-site work for occasional meetingsRate: $35-$45/hourJob Description: Prepare individual federal (Form 1040) and state tax returns for individuals, trusts and small businessesResponsibilities:Ensure compliance with federal, state and local tax laws and regulationsIdentify potential tax credits, deductions and opportunities to minimize tax liabilityAdhere to firm’s standardized procedures and documentation requirementsMaintain confidentiality and security of client informationRegular, timely and clear communication with team members is expectedAccurate time-keeping and productivity during working hours is expectedCommunicate directly with clients to address questions, provide updates, and ensure a high level of serviceUtilize accounting software such as QuickBooks (Online/Desktop) to review client accountsQualifications:Experience (minimum of 3 years) in the field of public accountingCPA or Enrolled Agent preferredStrong computer skills and attention to detail requiredOrganized and able to confidently prioritize assignmentsClient service focused with excellent people skillsVery comfortable using Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and OutlookExperience preparing Forms 1041, 1120, 1120-S, 709 or 706 a plusExperience with Lacerte tax software a plusExperience with QuickBooks a plusFlexProfessionals respects and seeks to empower each individual and support the diverse cultures, perspectives, skills, and experiences of its candidate network.
