NYC Structural Engineer

Our work includes new construction, building alterations, and renovations that contribute to the evolving New York City skyline.
Key Responsibilities
Perform structural analysis and design for concrete, steel, masonry, and timber structures using industry-standard software
Evaluate retrofit and renovation designs for existing buildings
Prepare and review construction documents, calculations, and technical reports in compliance with NYC Building Codes, IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, and NDS
Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors to integrate structural systems
Perform special inspections and Local Law inspections as required
Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, monitor construction progress, and resolve field issues
Participate in project meetings and client presentations
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree preferred)
Licensure: EIT required; New York State PE license or ability to obtain within one year strongly preferred
Experience: 2–4 years of structural design experience, preferably with NYC residential, commercial, or high-rise projects
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAFE, RAM Structural System, or SAP2000
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with NYC Department of Buildings regulations and filing procedures
Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary range: $70,000–$90,000
