This role will have the ability to act independently with moderate direct supervision. This position reports to the site Environmental Director.Critical Success CriteriaDevelop working knowledge of existing operations and processes to aid compliance with relevant regulatory standardsSupport capital project teams by providing environmental input and requirementsServe as a technical resource for environmental compliance and continuous improvement to the site operations teamSupport investigations and recommend corrective actions to maintain environmental complianceResponsibilitiesUsing our Intelex software system, owns the environmental incident reporting and investigation systemCoordinates environmental testing, audits, inspections, and recordkeepingRemains current on the state of the art in environmental control technologiesPerforms data analysis to drive insights into environmental performance opportunitiesPrepares regulatory compliance reports including emissions inventory, periodic air monitoring reports, Greenhouse Gas, and periodic hazardous waste reportingReviews and summarizes technical reports, identifying key takeaways and action itemsCommunicates and engages with regulatorsWorks with consultants to monitor relevant regulatory changesWorks with the training department to create and update training documentationResponds promptly and effectively to the needs of the business.RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering or a closely related discipline from an accredited College or University3+ years of previous work experience in an environmental compliance related role with a consulting firm or manufacturing businessPrevious work experience with facilitating regulators and on-site contractorsPhysical RequirementsWillingness and ability to wear a full-face respirator mask directly against skin, work in a hot/high temperature production facility, and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required in designated areas with or without reasonable accommodationWillingness and ability to comply with safety protocols and company-provided decontamination measuresCompensation & BenefitsSalary Range: $99,304 - $163,760. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive plan which is determined by the achievement of strategic objectives.
