We are in Rock Spring, GA, and operate on 3 shifts with 400 employees. We have three main manufacturing departments, Casting, Machining, and Press Assembly. We are part of Astemo, Inc. with 90,000 employees worldwide.\n\n.\n\nTasks and Responsibilities:\n\nThis manufacturing department position is responsible for the producing quality products for use in automotive or power sport vehicles and may be assigned to one of the following roles or processes as needed:\n\nQuality check of machined aluminum products\nLoading of machined aluminum product into manual assembly machine\nLoading of machined aluminum product into automated assembly machine\nUnloading of assembled product from manual assembly machine\nUnloading of assembled product from automated assembly machine\nLoading of assembly model components\nUnloading of assembly model components due to line or model change overs\nMust be able to work where needed in the assembly department\nMust be able to support other departments as and when needed\n\nWhen accomplishing tasks, remember to work toward meeting overall company goals established which include, OSHA safety compliance, ISO 14001 Environmental Compliance, Ethical & Legal compliance, Customer Quality, Production to Plan, and Delivery Performance.\n\nSafety & Environmental:\n\nPromotes a safety first attitude and provides safe work environment by obtaining knowledge and then following all required OSHA regulations which may or may not include: Personal Protective Equipment, LOTO (lock out tag out), Crane, Powered Lifts, Machine Guarding, Chemicals, Fall Protection, Fire Protection, Incident reporting, Respirator, Hearing conservation, Confined Spaces, and others.\nMaintain work areas to ensure safe and clean working conditions.\nWhen possible correct unsafe work conditions immediately.\n\nQuality:\n\nEnsures the in process and the final product meets customer and Astemo Rock Spring quality specifications.\nFollows work instructions, point cards and communicates defects appropriately and immediately when quality issues occur.\nFollows the STOP, CALL, WAIT procedures\n\nDelivery:\n\nResponsible for completing the planned production quantities as required.\n\nProductivity:\n\nAchieves the planned production quantities as required by:\nCommunicating issues to the line lead or supervisor immediately\nFollowing work instructions\nWorking as a team and promoting teamwork\nPreventing interruptions to work flow and productivity\nSuggesting improvements to productivity, quality, safety etc.\n\nReporting:\n\nReports safety incidents or near misses, issues with equipment or quality concerns, and workflow interruptions.\nReports monthly “Ask Here” to help make Astemo Rock Spring better\n\nPreferred Skills:\nGood problem-solving abilities\nExcellent communication skills, able to build friendly work relationships\nFamiliar with manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures\nMinimum Experienced Preferred:\nPrevious experience in related field\nKey Metrics Responsibility:\nZero Safety Incidents\nZero Customer Quality defects\nZero Late Deliveries\nPerfect Attendance\nPhysical Demands:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, to use hand to finger; handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
