AWS DevOps Engineer

W2 only, No c2c Looking for Local candidates Job Description:As an Engineer 2, candidates will be responsible for using your technical knowledge of professional concepts to solve business problems.Client is looking for a talented individual who can serve as a subject matter expert in their area of focus and represent their department on complex assignments.Candidates will be responsible for evaluating elements of technology's effectiveness through requirements gathering, testing, research, and investigation, as well as making recommendations for improvements that will result in increased quality and effectiveness.Candidates must listen to and evaluate customer needs to determine and provide high-quality solutions that align with customer expectations.In this role on the Marketing DevOps team, candidates will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and exercise and grow your skills related to building AWS (Amazon Web Services) and/or Microsoft Azure infrastructure, using Terraform and continuous integration & deployment automation methodologies.Also, candidates will have the opportunity and will be responsible for identifying and implementing changes that maximize the team's efficiency in delivering solutions that meet the non-functional requirements of client products, such as security, compliance, performance, and cost.Required Qualifications:Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by client’s company for this position now or in the futureMust be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities3 plus years of related experienceHands on working experience with CI/CD pipelines, Bitbucket, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins.Proven experience with scripting languages such as Groovy, Linux Shell (Bash), and Python, and the corresponding user interface and commands.Experience working with IAAS IaC tools, such as Terraform and its scripting language HCLExperience building, deploying and maintaining infrastructure in Amazon Web Services and strong working knowledge of various AWS services such EC2, EBS, CloudFront, S3, Route53 and more.Experience managing end-to-end application platforms, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and deployment of Java-based backend services (Apache Tomcat, Spring Boot) as well as frontend applications built using Node.js and TypeScript, including build processes, dependency management, and runtime support.Excellent communication skills and ability to quickly triage problems, determine root cause, and drive resolutionPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related field preferredAWS cloud certificationsKnowledge/understanding of Content Management Systems like Adobe Experience ManagerAutomation mindset to implement consistent and repeatable processes for efficiencyKnowledge/understanding of Open Source automation tools such as Chef or AnsibleGeneral understanding of Network DNS, firewalls, routing, imperva and certificate management
