Job Title: Technician - Production Support ILocation: Wyandotte, MI 48192 - 100% onsiteDuration: 12 months contractShift: Second shift 6:45 PM - 7:00 AM. Rotating 2-week shift. 1st week 4 days, 48 hours: Mon., Tues., Fri., Sat. 2nd week 3 days, 36 hours: Sun., Wed., Thur. Off every other weekend.Position is every other weekend off:Week 1 Mon, Tues, Fri, SatWeek 2 Sun, Wed, ThuResponsibilities:The Engineering Plastics Compounding facility operates twin screw extruders to manufacture engineering plastics compounds.The materials are sold primarily in the automobile industry, who Mold final parts.The plant operates 24hr. per day, 7 days per week.Activities range from selecting, charging, and mixing raw materials, to the set-up and operation of the processing equipment and finally packaging and labelling finished product.A training process is established, providing a balance of computer-based learning and job shadowing experience.The incumbent will be assigned to one of the four teams working on a straight day or night 12-hour schedule, reporting to that team's Shift Supervisor.Successful candidates have a highly developed teamwork competency, the ability to work under time constraints, excellent customer focus, and once trained, demonstrate the ability to monitor the process and execute required tasks safely, consistently, and reliably.Preferred Experience:1 years ManufacturingMust have HS diploma or GED.
