But together, we're getting closer.The ideal candidate has a proven understanding of camera algorithms and/or image processing techniques in building software solutions, and experience with shipping hardware/software products.\n\nSoftware Engineer, Camera Algorithms - Reality Labs Responsibilities:\n\nAlgorithm customization for XR products: The different aspects of the customization include: adjustments to VR user experiences such as low light performance, color reproduction accuracy, multi-camera operations, and etc.\nOn device implementation and optimization: HW specific optimizations, including image sensor, module, illumination, ISP, etc optimizations. This area also includes the algorithm implementation optimization on CPU/DSP/GPU.\nAlgorithm infrastructure: build the software framework and tools to facilitate the development and deployment of camera algorithms.\nDevelop and optimize cutting-edge image processing algorithms based on the research and exploration of industry and academic solutions.\nDesign, code, review, and tests camera related software algorithm features across all layers of the camera stack.\nWork closely with the System Engineering Team, hardware team, manufacturing partners and QA teams to deliver best in class products\nDefine long term roadmap and execute on long term projects via direct impact, delegation of work to other engineers and by building XFN alignment and communicating status.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.\n5+ years of experience writing software for embedded platforms\n5+ years of experience working on the camera stack on iOS, Android or other mobile platforms\n5+ years of experience developing and debugging in C/C++\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nExperience in Image Processing or Computational Photography, in developing any of camera related algorithms such as low-light capture, HDR, Depth estimation, video stabilization, denoising, demosaicing, auto-exposure, auto-white balance, auto-focus, etc.\nExperience architecting and designing performant, highly optimized software for low-powered hardware in the domain of image and video processing.\nExperience in ISP camera algorithms.\nExperience developing Android Camera HAL implementations with experience in Camera HAL3.\nExperience with graphics development: OpenGL, Metal, Vulcan\nUnderstanding of deep learning based methods for Computational Photography.\nExperience working on camera hardware, including sensors, lens, DSP, computer vision processing units.\n\nAbout Meta:\n\nMeta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
