The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) scans, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process. This role requires a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques, anatomy, and physiology, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced hospital environment.\nDuties\nPerform CT scans and ensure the highest quality images are produced for diagnostic purposes.\nPrepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.\nMaintain a sterile environment by adhering to aseptic techniques during procedures.\nCollaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results and patient care plans.\nOperate and maintain CT equipment, troubleshooting any issues that arise during imaging sessions.\nDocument patient information accurately in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, including Epic.\nStay current with advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques, including MRI, PET scans, DEXA scans, mammography, X-ray, nuclear medicine, and sonography.\nEnsure compliance with safety protocols and regulations in the imaging department.\nSkills\nProficient in CT imaging techniques and equipment operation.\nStrong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to diagnostic radiology.\nFamiliarity with medical terminology and documentation practices.\nExperience with EMR systems, particularly Epic.\nAbility to perform various imaging modalities such as MRI, PET scans, DEXA scans, mammography, X-ray, nuclear medicine, and sonography is preferred.\nExcellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.\nStrong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols in a clinical setting.\nPrevious hospital experience is highly desirable.
