Simulation Engineer","description":"Process Simulation EngineerWe are seeking an experienced Process Simulation Engineer to provide technical leadership across dynamic and steady-state process simulation for complex offshore and onshore energy projects.This role supports both traditional energy developments and energy transition initiatives, delivering high-quality simulation studies that inform design, safety, and operational decision-making.What you’ll do:Act as technical authority for dynamic and steady-state process simulationDevelop integrated simulation models linking topsides, pipelines, and flow assurance systemsDeliver simulation studies to support process design, control philosophy, and operational optimisationAssess plant behaviour during start-up, shutdown, turndown, and abnormal or safety-critical scenariosDefine and deliver technically robust simulation scopes aligned with quality, cost, and programme requirementsProvide simulation evidence to underpin control strategies, trip settings, and operating philosophiesSupport HAZOP close-out, flare and relief design, and verification of safety-critical casesEvaluate downstream impacts on compressors, flare systems, and other critical equipmentContribute to the development of internal simulation tools, workflows, and best practicesMentor and support junior engineers, strengthening technical capability within the teamRequired Skills & Experience:Demonstrated experience in dynamic process simulation within oil & gas, energy transition, or complex process industriesStrong expertise in HYSYS Dynamics, OLGA, and integrated simulation environmentsProven ability to deliver technical studies supporting FEED and detailed design phasesExperience developing or assessing control philosophies and operability strategiesStrong communication skills with the ability to clearly present complex technical findingsConsultancy mindset, with experience working directly with clients and multidisciplinary
