School-Based LPN Opportunity Step into a meaningful role supporting a bright 4th-grade student as an LPN in a school setting located near Puyallup, WA. This contract opportunity provides the chance to deliver one-on-one care during the school day for an ambulatory child who is sweet-natured and has no behavioral concerns. Your expertise will ensure comfort and safety as you work closely with both school personnel and the student's home health nurse. Requirements: Current and valid LPN/LVN license Hands-on experience with trach care and trach suctioning Proficiency in g tube care and management Previous experience with pediatric or school-based nursing strongly preferred Ability to support student with transportation needs (including riding the school bus as needed) Comfort with diapering and providing personal care in a school environment Compassionate and professional demeanor, with excellent communication skills Key Responsibilities: Provide dedicated 1:1 nursing care to the assigned student throughout the school day Assist with all aspects of trach and g tube care, ensuring adherence to medical protocols Support basic needs, including diapering and safe transportation between home and school Collaborate with the student's home health nurse to ensure a seamless transition and continuity of care Document daily care, clinical observations, and report any changes promptly to appropriate staff This position places you at the heart of a collaborative, supportive environment where your specialized skills make a measurable difference every day.
