Job Title: Director - Retail CAGJob Location: Dallas, TXHybrid role: Weekly 2 days to work from office Job Type: Full TimeExperience Required: 15 plus yearsJob SummaryAs a CAG Consultant focusing on the Retail Practice, you will act as a domain focused, techno functional advisor helping retail clients solve complex business and technology challenges. This role requires a deep understanding of the retail industry combined with strong technology consulting experience across engineering, cloud, data, digital platforms, AI, and managed services.You will work closely with IT and business leaders to understand operating models, key technology and business challenges, customer journeys, and growth priorities, and translate them into end to end technology solutions aligned with Aspire’s service offerings and capabilities. You will engage early in the sales cycle, shape solution vision, influence large and strategic deals, and collaborate with sales, pre sales, delivery, and practice teams to ensure solutions are compelling, feasible, and executable.Key ResponsibilitiesRetail Consulting and Solution ShapingDevelop solution strategies for retail clients covering digital commerce, omni channel retail, store transformation, supply chain modernization, data driven merchandising, and customer experience platformsLead discovery workshops with IT and business leaders to understand business objectives, industry challenges, and current technology landscapeTranslate retail domain needs into technology led solutions spanning application engineering, cloud transformation, data and analytics, AI, and managed services, with strong emphasis on AI driven use casesAct as a trusted advisor to client leadership by articulating technology value in business terms and linking solutions to measurable retail outcomesSales Cycle and Pre Sales EngagementWork as part of the sales cycle, engaging early to shape deal strategy, solution positioning, and value propositions for retail opportunitiesSupport large and strategic retail pursuits through solution design, proposal inputs, RFP responses, presentations, and client discussionsCollaborate with conventional pre sales teams for demos, case studies, solution artifacts, and technical validationsInfluence revenue growth by identifying cross sell and upsell opportunities aligned to Aspire’s retail offeringsInternal Collaboration and EnablementCollaborate closely with practice teams and technology alliances to align solutions with Aspire capabilities, accelerators, and partner ecosystemsWork with delivery leaders to ensure solution feasibility, scalability, and alignment with delivery and managed services modelsProvide structured market and client feedback to practices and alliances to influence GTM strategy and solution evolutionThought Leadership and Market InsightStay highly knowledgeable of current AI trends, platforms, and engineering approaches, and their impact on IT and the retail industryzIdentify and articulate high value AI driven opportunities across customer experience, merchandising, supply chain, store operations, and enterprise functionsStay current on broader retail industry trends including digital commerce evolution, store technologies, data driven retail, and platform ecosystemsContribute to internal and external thought leadership through white papers, point of view decks, client presentations, and innovation sessionsRepresent Aspire’s retail solution thinking in customer meetings, industry forums, and partner discussionsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field15 plus years of experience in retail technology consulting, solution architecture, or techno functional advisory rolesStrong understanding of retail business processes and operating models including merchandising, supply chain, store operations, digital commerce, and customer engagementSolid techno functional knowledge across application engineering, cloud platforms, data and analytics, AI, and managed services, with strong awareness of modern AI architectures and implementation patternsProven experience working with IT and business leaders to shape technology direction and solution strategyHands on experience working in AI engineering initiatives or AI enabled solution development is a strong plusExcellent communication, facilitation, and executive presentation skillsThe salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, trainic licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.The salary range displays the minimum and maximum targets for this position across all US locations and has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $180,000 to $200,000. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits, or variable bonus programs. Final compensation decisions will depend on the unique facts and circumstances of each candidate.
