Mechanical and electrical engineering skills are essential for overseeing the installation, troubleshooting, and optimization of these systems. Sales skills are necessary to effectively communicate the value of the systems and negotiate contracts, while finance knowledge is important for managing budgets, forecasting costs, and ensuring the financial viability of projects. This hybrid role is central to the successful delivery of complex projects that require technical knowledge as well as business acumen.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other functions may be assigned:\nPreconstruction / Design & Estimating:\nDevelop HVAC systems and solutions using a combination of Havtech equipment and controls and other leading HVAC equipment and systems that include project scoping, concept development, engineering analysis, and system validation.\nPresents to audiences to convey solutions and technical information.\nCapable of leading a comprehensive preconstruction effort for a typical Comprehensive Sales project including but not limited to solution design, cost estimates, cost studies, value engineering, scheduling, constructability reviews, site logistics planning, and cash flow projections.\nCapable of leading a comprehensive bid effort including but not limited to preparing and sending out invitations to bid, preparing a project manual, distributing bid documents as required, verifying bid coverage, setting up and utilizing estimate template. Comprehension and execution of all bid requirements including insurances, permits, MBE requirements, prevailing wage requirements, taxes, bonding requirements, and form of proposal.\nDevelop comprehensive scopes of work as required for contracting a project.\nConduct subcontract agreement negotiations with subcontractors to achieve the strongest contract for the project.\nConstruction:\nCapable of leading a comprehensive construction effort for DB/CM/GC projects\nAct as the primary senior level contact with the client throughout the duration of the project\nMonitor project team deliverables for timely and accurate submissions as required by the project schedule and client Oversee project financials and schedule development and management\nEnsure accurate and consistent files and documentation are maintained.\nLead timely close-out processes including punch list completion, warranty documentation and fulfillment, and as-built drawings.\nPersonnel:\nManagement of project team members required for the successful execution of your projects.\nProvide mentorship to entry-level team members working on your projects.\nProvide coaching to team members to promote development and growth.\nMonitor all delegated tasks for accuracy, efficiency, and proper process.\nMonitor manpower requirements for your projects.\nBusiness Development:\nMaintain relationships with previous and current clients, architects, and engineers you have/are working with.\nJoin and actively engage in a mechanical HVAC industry related organization, ASHRAE or other\nProvide key technical support in pursuit of Havtech business, including participation on strategic job acquisition teams.\nResponsible for obtaining customers from project development through project transition.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nMust have at least 5-10 years of hands-on experience in the commercial construction industry with a general contractor or construction managements firm with specific mechanical HVAC systems knowledge\nDemonstrated ability to lead, coach, and train team members; monitor their work for quality and completeness.\nFoster a positive work environment that encourages the personal and professional growth of all team members.\nFamiliarity with HVAC systems, temperature controls, and process control systems is a must\nDemonstrated success in managing multiple projects and teams.\nDemonstrated high level of achievement in the areas of project management, estimating, scheduling, budget / cost control, negotiations, field supervision, and financial reporting.\nExcellent organization, leadership, analytical, and communication skills, including the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner, and to organize necessary resources, including people, materials, equipment, tools, and time to meet tight deadlines and achieve desired results.\nHigh functional ability to understand, interpret, and implement plans, specifications, and other contract documents.\nDemonstrated ability to professionally resolve escalated issues with clients, subcontractors, and other third parties in a timely manner.\nSubstantial knowledge of and experience with solicitation, negotiation, award, and management of subcontracts, including without limitations, preparation of bid and subcontractor scope language.\nUnderstanding of scheduling logic / constraints.\nProficient with construction management software (Timberline and Procore experience preferred).\nSubstantial knowledge of AIA contract documents, and in particular cost plus\nGMP / Design Build contracts.\n\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nCarries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies\nand applicable laws.
