Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties at any time.\nJob Description:\niRF is seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented electronics Assembler who is committed to high‑quality workmanship, meeting production deadlines, and contributing positively within a team‑focused environment.\nThe ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with electronics and RF assemblies, strong proficiency with hand tools, excellent hand‑eye coordination, and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.\nEssential Functions:\nPerform precision assembly work using standard hand tools and shop equipment.\nDemonstrate proficiency in surface‑mount soldering techniques.\nWork under a microscope for extended periods while maintaining accuracy and focus.\nAssemble components and integrated systems into exact specifications.\nRead, interpret, and build schematics, assembly prints, and engineering drawings.\nMaintain a clean, organized work area and minimize material waste.\nConduct routine equipment maintenance and support general shop duties as assigned.\nCommunicate effectively with peers, engineers, and supervisors.\nBecome familiar with tools, instrumentation, and calibration equipment as required.\nTake ownership of assigned tasks and consistently deliver quality‑focused workmanship.\nVerify fit, alignment, and conformity of parts and assemblies per engineering documentation.\nUse basic test equipment—such as a multimeter—to support assembly and troubleshooting (preferred).\nWork efficiently and independently in a fast‑paced production environment.\nBuild and maintain positive, professional working relationships across the team.\nFollow instructions, accept feedback, and apply best practices.\nApply ESD‑safe handling procedures at all times.\nUtilize computer‑based applications to support daily tasks.\nIPC‑A‑610 or J‑STD‑001 certification is a plus.\nRequired Qualifications:\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality.\nHigh school diploma and minimum 4 years of relevant assembly experience.\nAbility to read and write in English and perform basic math.\nGood visual acuity and excellent hand‑eye coordination.\nAbility to interpret technical data packages for electronic assemblies.\nAbility to sit or stand for extended periods, reach with hands and arms, and communicate clearly.\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.\nMust be able to pass a preemployment drug screening and background check.\nDesired Qualifications:\nHands‑on experience with the following is highly desirable:\nSurface‑mount soldering.\nSemi‑automatic pick‑and‑place equipment.\nHarness assembly.\nRibbon cable assembly.\nFlex coax cable assembly.\nSemi‑rigid cable assembly.\nRF cable assembly.\nModule assembly.\nChassis assembly.\nFeed‑through soldering.\nESD awareness and compliance.\nBackground in Lean Manufacturing.\nSalary Range: $50,000.00 - $ 60,000 per year.\nLocation: Onsite in Sparks, MD with a 9/80 schedule.
