As a field‑based member of the operations engineering team, the Operations Engineer is the first‑line technical support—supporting day‑to‑day operations, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and process safety requirements. This role collaborates closely with Field Operations, Engineering & Construction, and other Asset Performance & Innovation groups to drive operational excellence, continuous improvement, and the successful execution of asset management initiatives.\n\nRequired Experience and Skills\n\n5+ years supporting natural gas compressor stations (midstream oil & gas preferred).\n\nWorking knowledge of pipeline, compressor station, and/or M&R facility operations.\n\nFamiliarity with process safety management (PSM), management of change (MOC), and regulatory compliance requirements.\n\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.\n\nEffective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.\n\nProficiency with relevant engineering software and digital tools.\n\nWillingness to travel to field locations as required (up to 40% of the time).\n\nValid driver’s license and clean driving record.\n\nPreferred Experience and Skills\n\nExperience supporting field operations in an owner’s engineer capacity.\n\nExperience with digital transformation, automation, or data analytics in field operations.\n\nKnowledge of asset integrity, measurement, automation, or compression systems.\n\nAdvanced proficiency in technical writing and documentation.\n\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license or progress toward licensure.\n\nEducation\n\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.\n\nAdditional Information\nBoardwalk Pipelines, LP maintains a drug‑free workplace and requires pre‑employment drug & substance abuse testing before hire.\n\nEqual Employment Opportunity\nBoardwalk Pipelines, LP is an equal opportunity employer.
