With offices in Orlando and Chicago, our Orlando office is expanding, and we are seeking a talented Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team!\n\nResponsibilities\n\nProvide Senior level QC review of Junior engineer’s work.\n\nProvide building heating/cooling load calculations and select heating/cooling systems for large more complex building designs.\n\nCoordinate Exhaust Hood designs and Exhaust/make-up air systems with equipment Venders.\n\nDevelop Building Sequence of Operations and develop HVAC Control packages.\n\nBe able to write and Review Book Specifications.\n\nResponsible for permit comments.\n\nMust be knowledgeable with IMC, IPC, NFPA and ASHRAE codes. NEC a plus.\n\nAble to review mechanical and plumbing shop drawing submittals.\n\nLove to teach and guide young engineers.\n\nOther duties as assigned\n\nQualifications & Prior Experience\n\n15+ years of professional experience in design\n\nKnowledge/understanding of mechanical building codes\n\nIn-depth knowledge of heating and cooling load calculations, mechanical materials, ductwork designs, cooling systems and their application\n\nExperience with package DX systems, chilled water, and variable air systems\n\nAbility to run heating/cooling loads with Carrier and/or Trane programs is a must.\n\nAbility to produce ComCheck energy code calculations required. T-24 is a plus.\n\nProficiency in AutoCAD 2000 or later to produce construction documents in accordance with Interplan standards required.
