This role requires strong analytical skills, leadership, and coordination to balance demand, capacity, and supply chain requirements. The Planner Supervisor will be responsible for their own subset of planner duties, as well as overseeing their team’s planner responsibilities. This role will work closely with various departments, including production, procurement, logistics, and quality control, to ensure seamless execution of plans.\n\nESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:\n\nDevelop, maintain, oversee, and participate in production and material planning scheduled to ensure timely completion of orders.\nRelease and manage work orders from inception to completion using MRP system.\nCoordinate with production teams to manage workflow and minimize bottlenecks.\nAdjust schedules in response to demand fluctuations, supply chain disruptions, or unforeseen circumstances.\nPrepare production reports as required by the Program Manager or Director of Programs/Operations.\nExpedite operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.\nConfers with Program Manager(s) to determine status of assigned projects.\nSupervise and guide planning team members, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback.\nAct as the key liaison between production, procurement, sales, and logistics to align planning with business objectives.\nFacilitate cross-functional meetings to review production schedules and resolve issues proactively.\nOther Job Duties, as assigned.\n\nGENERAL:\n\nRequires a high school diploma or its equivalent with 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.\nCollege level education is a plus.\nFamiliar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of a manufacturing facility with respect to production operations, machine shops, etc.\nProficiency in planning software and MRP systems.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAdvanced knowledge of Excel and data analysis tools.\nExcellent communication and leadership abilities.\nAbility to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong organizational and time-management skills.\nMust be able to work onsite at our Stockton location consistent with our 9/80 work week schedule with every other Friday off.\nWorkspace is indoors in a temperature controlled, generally quiet office building.\nAbility to sit or stand for extended periods and perform desk-based computer tasks.\nThere may be occasional lifting of under 25lbs.\n\nADDITIONAL INFORMATION:\n\nThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
