As a project manager, you'll manage a diverse set of construction jobs that will require a thorough attention to detail, test your problem-solving skills and push you to grow as a leader RESPONSIBILITIESPerform at all project management levels; No task is too big or too smallAccurately forecast revenue, profitability and project costsManage day-to-day client expectations on budget and scheduleEstimate, level (Subcontractor bids) and buy out projects effectivelyWork with the project superintendent to create, manage, and maintain the project scheduleManage the multiple processes (submittals, RFI's, Change Orders, etc) that make up a projectProvide direction to a PC or PE to assist with the aboveOversee performance of all trade contractors and review architectural and engineering drawings to ensure all specifications and regulations are being followedProactively identify changes in project scope and ensure appropriate measures are taken (CO's and/or Schedule delays)Manage financial performance of projects (Invoicing, Change Orders, etc.) and consistently achieve revenue goalsWork with executives to constantly hone interview and negotiation skillsRun effective, smooth and productive OAC meetingsPlan, implement, track and manage the closeout / turnover of construction projects.Assess risk, monitor site safety and ensure proper communication between Superintendent and Safety ManagerTurn your clients into raving fans and company advocatesLive and breathe company core values: Be Fair; Be Nimble; Be Grateful; Have a Passion to Deliver MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:At least 5 years in constructionAt least 4-yr college degreeIndustry association involvement & participationStrong written and verbal communication skillsThe ability and desire to lead a team by exampleThe confidence and grit to make decisions under pressure and solve problems on the flyThe social intelligence to gracefully manage and resolve disputesExcellent time management and organizational skillsProficiency at basic computer software ABOUT THE COMPANY:We are a premier Bay Area commercial general contracting firm specializing in building and site renovation, infrastructure, labs and tenant improvement with a focus on sustainability and LEED.
