This is a great opportunity to get involved in challenging and interesting design projects for various industrial and power clients.\n\nStructural Engineer III Responsibilities:\nPerform Structural Engineering duties in the design, analysis, and preparation of calculations, drawings, and specifications for use on concrete and steel projects.\nPerform and prepare structural designs and modifications of industrial structures and systems for one or multiple assigned projects.\nInterface with customers, suppliers, and construction throughout all phases of planning, design, and construction.\nIndependently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications.\nPrepare conceptual and detailed design sketches, engineering calculations, construction drawings, and specifications.\nCoordinate with multiple disciplines to participate in development of plans, elevations, and basis of design documents to guide construction.\nApply basic structural engineering technical principles, theories, standards, and concepts in development of engineering design packages.\nConsider construction costs, government regulations, potential environmental hazards, and other factors in planning stages and risk analysis.\nUnderstand and apply applicable building codes and industry specific standards for engineering projects.\nUnderstand and be able to determine applicability of local, state, and international building codes.\nSpecify building materials such as concrete and steel for use in specific projects, and review supplier submittals and test reports from third-party laboratories.\nPresent technical information to peers or other personnel for review, to implement standards, or operating procedures.\nIndependently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications.\nProvide Material Take Offs and cost estimates for materials, labor, and engineering to determine a projects economic feasibility.\nStructural Engineer III Requirements:\nBachelors degree in civil engineering from an accredited university.\nMinimum 10 years of structural steel and concrete engineering experience.\nEngineer in Training Certification and working towards Professional Engineer licensure.\nProficient with Engineering and Computer Software (MS Office, AutoCAD, 2D &/or 3D CAD, BlueBeam, RISA, NavisWorks, STAAD, SPMats, Enercalc.\nExperience with large power generation and industrial projects.\nExcellent Communication and Presentation Skills (Verbal and Written).\nMust Possess permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer without the need for sponsorship, now or in the future.\n\nSystem One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
