The role involves managing pharmacy claims, prescription validation, and healthcare data across EHR/Pharmacy Information Systems, with a strong focus on Power BI-based reporting and dashboarding to enable data-driven insights.Work You'll DoAnalyze pharmacy claims datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and cost driversEvaluate pharmacy benefit utilization, including unit cost and trend drivers, rebate impact, and 340B programsPartner with internal data and analytics teams to develop standardized processes, reusable queries, and data workflowsSupport pharmacy plan, client, and contract configuration activities through analytic review, testing, and validation of claim outcomesValidate data quality, completeness, and reasonableness of resultsHandle pharmacovigilance data management, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirementsMaintain and manage data within EHR (Electronic Health Records) and Pharmacy Information SystemsDesign, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to monitor pharmacy operations, claims trends, compliance metrics, and KPIsLead pharmacy analytics workstreams from data intake through insight delivery and stakeholder presentationProvide ongoing regulatory and compliance support, including audits and reportingDrive project timelines, key deliverables, and issue resolution across cross-functional teamsIdentify discrepancies between configured logic and paid claim resultsOther duties as assignedRequirements6+ years of experience in pharmacy data analysis, PBM, payer, or related healthcare rolesStrong knowledge of pharmacy claims management and payer processesAdvanced proficiency in Power BI, including dashboard creation, DAX, data modeling, and Power BI Service (workspaces, publishing, refresh schedules)Understanding of pharmacovigilance data and healthcare regulatory and compliance requirementsAbility to independently analyze data and explain pharmacy KPIs and findingsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detailEffective communication skills to interact with internal teams and stakeholdersFamiliarity with major drug compendia and reference databases, including NCPDP, Medi-Span, First Databank, CMS ASP and other public-use files, NPPES and other provider reference sourcesUnderstands claims logic and how to identify final status of claimsStrong working knowledge of pharmacy claims data and concepts such as formularies, benefit designs, networks, and reimbursementMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorshipPreferred RequirementsBased in Chicago, IL, and flexible to work from our Chicago office as neededCompensation & BenefitsFlexible PTO, monthly half-day refuels, volunteer time off, 10 paid holidaysOwn Your Day flexible work policyCompetitive majority employer-paid benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K MatchGenerous paid parental leave optionsEmployer-paid Life Insurance, Short Term Disability, Long Term DisabilityCharitable contribution matching programNew client commission opportunities and referral bonus programBike share discount programThe estimated base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $140,000. In addition to this base salary, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. This range is a part of a competitive, total compensation package together with our majority employer-paid benefits and incentive pay for eligible roles.
