Operations Analyst (Banking Back-Office Generalist)Location: Brea, CA (Onsite) Pay Range: $30.00 - $40.00 / hour (W2) Duration: March 23, 2026 - June 20, 2026 Status: No C2C / No Third PartiesThe OpportunityWe are seeking a versatile Operations Analyst to support a wide array of back-office functions for a prominent financial institution in Brea. This is a high-visibility contract role responsible for ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and smooth execution of daily banking activities. If you are a detail-oriented professional with a strong foundation in branch operations and central services, this is an excellent opportunity to utilize your full range of banking skills.Key ResponsibilitiesTransaction Management: Handle ACH processing/returns, adjustments, encoding errors, and large item reviews ($5,000+).Reporting & Compliance: Manage IRS backup withholding, year-end tax reporting, state escheatment, and dormant account reactivations. Ensure strict adherence to Reg CC holds and NSF reporting.Financial Controls: Perform GL Certifications, official check balancing (RITS), and reconcile the bank's cash vaults.Specialized Processing: Support IRA account processing, lockbox deposits, and the setup of armored courier services.Legal & Research: Process levies and subpoenas, manage customer complaints, and perform deep-dive research for error resolution.Customer Support: Interface with internal departments and external customers to resolve concerns regarding online banking and cash management services.Required Skills & ExperienceExperience: 2-3 years of general banking operations or related back-office experience.Core Foundation: At least one (1) year of teller experience and one (1) year of customer service/account concept experience.Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Word and Excel is required. Must be comfortable navigating core banking systems and office equipment.Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of bank regulatory requirements and central operations procedures.Soft Skills: Excellent analytical ability, strong time-management skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive legal and financial information.Why Apply?This role offers a comprehensive look at the "inner workings" of a bank.
