Document Scanning TechnicianArmedia is looking for a Document Scanning Technician to support our client located in Laurel, Maryland. Candidates must be located within a commuting distance as this will be an onsite role, 5 days per week. This will be a temporary position through June 2027 with a possible extension. Rate: $23.00/hour LOCATION: Laurel, MDDuties and Responsibilities:Prepare documents for scanning, to include, removing staples, clip, and bindingsAdhere to strict policies regarding handling and transport of paper documents including:Maintaining order of paper documents through the digitization processProper tracking of document location and statusEnsure upmost care of documents to prevent loss or damageDigitize physical paper documents using high-speed, flatbed, or overhead scannersEnsure 100% capture rate by preforming quality assurance comparisonsCapture and index all required data fields per the client's requirementsPreform daily maintenance of scanning equipmentMonitor quality of scanning equipment consumablesPreform a page by page cross-reference of digital format files against the corresponding physical filesReport to the Digitization Manager as directedMaintain daily progress tracking spreadsheetMaintain a clean work environmentRequired Skills:Must be able comfortably lift 30lb-45lbsProficient in Windows operating systemProficient in Microsoft OfficeAbility to work in teamsSelf-starterMust be highly organized and have strong attention to detailAdaptive and willing to be multifunctional within the project teamProficient across multiple web browsersPreferred Skills:Scanning QA ExperienceExperience using a local and restricted communications network (Intranet)Education:High School Diploma/GED equivalent(Preferred) College degree or pursuing college degreeContingencies:Ability to pass a background screeningThis position is subject to random drug screeningsArmedia is an Equal Opportunity Employer dedicated to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
