This position is responsible for providing multi-disciplined security support to an AFRL/RS facility and organization by providing \"day-to-day\" support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) activities.\r\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform destruction of classified materials, process magnetic media for accountability, and maintain various daily logs for a variety of administrative functions associated with document control\r\nAssist in processing inbound and outbound data transfer files and inbound and outbound classified mail and receipt records; prepare facility access control badges; and maintain personnel security files for all personnel of the supported element.\r\nTransfer electronic data files to internal customers\r\nAssist with researching, processing, filing, and maintaining inbound and outbound visit notices, and escort facility visitors and maintain associated logs\r\nConduct entry and exit inspections\r\nFollow and enforce the customer's Standard Operating Procedures\r\nProvide support for security awareness and education programs\r\nPerform miscellaneous administrative support functions as directed by the DEFTEC's site lead and the Senior Security Representative\r\nReview, track, and monitor security clearance processing activities with appropriate government personnel to achieve appropriate clearance actions\r\nPrepare and process inbound and outbound classified mail, faxes, courier packages, and receipts, and prepare, process, and review Program Access Requests (PARs) for accuracy and access eligibility\r\nExecute Special Access Program Nomination Process Questionnaires\r\nData entry and record checks in the Joint Access Database Environment (JADE) and maintains all customer-sponsored personnel access information current; also performs Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and SAPNP reviews of candidates being submitted for SAP access.\r\nProvide Conference Room support to include support to the Video Teleconferencing (VTC) manager, assist with VTC bridge scheduling and VTC connectivity, and interface with the VTC maintenance contractor\r\nProvide support to end-users for issues or requests that occur during a conference\r\nProvide Tier 1 AV/VTC support for routine support requests\r\nMaintain and communicate VTC/Conference room schedules for multiple Rooms\r\nMonitor, administer, and troubleshoot network, encryption, VTC, and other devices\r\nEngage and coordinate with outside Agencies, such as DISA and others, to track and resolve network service issues.\r\nQUALIFICATIONS:Required Qualifications:7+ years of Department of Defense security-related experience\r\nExperience in a SCIF and/or SAP-F\r\nBachelor's Degree\r\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\r\nActive Top-Secret clearance\r\nBe willing to take a counterintelligence polygraph and be eligible to gain access to Special Access Program Information.\r\nMust be a U.S. citizen\r\nBenefitsmedical\r\ndental\r\nvision\r\nholiday\r\npaid time off\r\nlife insurance\r\nshort/long term disability\r\neducational reimbursement\r\nDEFTEC also matches 401k contributions dollar for dollar up to 3% of employee's income and an additional $0.50 for every dollar between 4-5% of employee's income.\r\nThe DEFTEC team is comprised of professionals who make a difference every day in crucial missions related to national security.
