We're growing fast and we're just getting started.About the roleThis is the first Strategic Project Lead hire. You'll be the operational anchor between our frontier lab clients and our global supply network.When a frontier AI lab comes to us with a tight data requirement and a tight deadline, you're the person who makes it happen. You scope it, plan it, execute it, quality-control it, and deliver it. No one is managing you through it. You own it.This role sits at the intersection of client management, project delivery, and business development. You'll be talking to some of the most important AI companies in the world one day, and coordinating data collection across multiple countries the next.What you'll ownEnd-to-end ownership of customer data projects — scoping, planning, execution, QC, deliveryDirect relationships with frontier AI lab clientsPipeline and new business development supportCross-functional coordination across Specific's global supply networkDeadline discipline across multiple simultaneous high-pressure projectsWho you are1–3 years experience at a top investment bank, MBB consulting firm, or fast-moving startupTop 20 US universityExceptional attention to detail and deadline discipline — you close loops without being chasedComfortable in client-facing environments — you can hold a room with a frontier AI labAI-native — you use Claude, GPT, or Cursor daily as part of how you workYou've owned deliverables and outcomes, not just supported someone else'sSF-based or ready to relocate — this role is in-person 9am–7pm, five days a weekYou're built for high-pressure environments and you like it that wayBonus pointsExperience at Scale AI, Mercor, Surge AI, David AI, or Handshake AIFirst or second year IB analyst ready to make the move to Silicon ValleyMBB consultant with a shipping track recordFounded something — a company, an NGO, a club with real outcomesCompensation$130,000 – $200,000 base salaryEquity grantsPerformance bonus on project completionTotal comp up to ~$1MHealth, dental, visionFree lunch at the officeVisa sponsorship available.
