Senior Accountant

Position Summary: The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of the organization. This position involves overseeing and managing assigned general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate and timely completion of assigned tasks and/or projects, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and experience working in a fast-paced environment.Essential duties and Responsibilities:General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts, including reviewing and posting journal entries and resolving discrepancies.For assigned accounts and projects, implement and maintain process structure to ensure the accuracy of financial records and timely completion of work.Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. Provide actionable insights to support business decisions throughout the organization.Complete clear and concise reports that align with the set expectation for the task.Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements including but not limited to reporting obligations.Coordinate with external auditors during audits.Maintain lease software and compliance with ASC 842Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and departments, such as procurement and logistics, to understand and address financial impacts and reporting needs related to our organization.Strong collaboration amongst accounting peers is essential to ensure high-quality work and professional development.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.Must have a high level of integrity and trustworthinessStrong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and accounting practices.Proficient in accounting software preferred (e.g., GP Dynamics, Dynamics 365 Business Central)Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is required (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial processes and provide actionable insights.Strong attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organizational skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Fluency in English and Spanish preferredBenefits you will enjoy: Comprehensive benefits package that includes: Medical, Dental, Prescription Drug Plan, Disability Plan, Life insurance Plan.401K savings PlanPaid HolidaysPersonal Time offEmployee Discounts
