Supporting the world's bravest.\r\nJob Responsibilities\r\n\r\nThis role is for the Cryocooler Engineering group supporting cooler manufacturing as well as cooled sensor assembly & test.\r\nProvide technical support to engineers and scientist on moderately complex components, devices, material, products, processes and/or equipment\r\nResponsible for testing, modifying, reworking, and repairing electronic, optical and mechanical assemblies\r\nWork from moderately complex wiring and assembly drawings, operation sheets, engineering specifications and sketches\r\nDesign and test prototype assemblies and production units\r\nUse judgment in re-working or re-wiring to bring unit within quality control specifications\r\nTest, inspect, and repair electronic, optical or mechanical assemblies\r\nWork under minimal supervision and may provide guidance to other technicians\r\nCapable of performing related manufacturing processes\r\nInterpret and follow written documents such as SOPs and safety rules\r\nEnsure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements applicable to the company in accordance with State and Federal regulations and any applicable certification required to maintain the certification\r\nMay assist in training new team members\r\nInterface with other departments to assure efficient flow of information and materials\r\nPerform Key Performance Indicators:\r\nMeet production deadlines\r\nQuality of finished product (Pass/fail rates)\r\nRaw material stock levels\r\nCompliance outcomes\r\nAbility to coordinate several activities at the same time, and to reprioritize in response to changing operational conditions\r\nSupport, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization\r\nOperate various types of manufacturing, material growth reactors and or process equipment to conduct complex experiments or to grow custom materials\r\n\r\nQualifications\r\n\r\nRequires an associate's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience in the field or in a related area\r\nMust demonstrate strong decision-making and leadership skills\r\nExperienced handling small delicate components, using ESD practices\r\nSoldering and wirebonding experience a plus\r\nMust be experienced in the safe handling of chemicals\r\nExperienced in the use of various computer applications, including Access, Excel, and Labview\r\nExperience with MRP a plus\r\nMust have good mechanical skills\r\n\r\nU.S. Citizenship required.
