This position is contingent upon contract award, with an anticipated start in October 2026.\n\nThis program is focused on creating a unified experience across multiple production applications through single sign-on, a common work surface, and a scalable approach to integrating applications into a shared platform.\n\nThe successful candidate will help maintain and support existing Java applications while ensuring stability, reliability, and continuity throughout the modernization effort.\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve defects in Java Spring Boot applications.\nDevelop and implement patches in accordance with the customer's established release schedule.\nMaintain existing applications while supporting the transition to a modernized platform.\nEnsure the stability of a legacy application through its planned retirement, without introducing enhancements.\nDocument legacy application capabilities to support the successor system.\nReview, understand, and safely modify unfamiliar codebases.\nRequirements:\n3+ years of experience working with Java, Spring Boot, and SQL.\nDemonstrated ability to understand, troubleshoot, and modify existing application code safely.\nActive Secret security clearance.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExperience with Amazon ECS/Fargate and AWS GovCloud.\n\nWork Location and Schedule\n\nLocation: Remote\nSchedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with core hours from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Eastern. Work follows two-week sprints, including a customer demonstration each sprint.\nTravel: 0–10%, within the Washington, DC metropolitan area.\nSecurity Requirement: U.S. citizenship required. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
