This opportunity is a hybrid role at one of the Bcubed locations located in Warrenton, VA or Tampa, FL.\nWHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:\nDevelop and implement security architectures for information systems.\nEnsure that security designs align with organizational goals, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.\nConduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.\nDesign and integrate security controls into system development lifecycles (SDLC).\nCollaborate with software developers, network engineers, and system administrators to ensure secure system configurations.\nImplement encryption, firewalls, and other security technologies.\nEnsure systems comply with relevant security standards, such as NIST, ISO 27001, or FISMA.\nPrepare documentation for security certifications and audits. • Monitor systems for compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.\nDevelop and maintain security documentation including but not limited to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), and Configuration Management documentation.\nLead remediation activities to address findings for security audits and vulnerability assessments in accordance with Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) best practices. Orchestrate and/or support vulnerability assessments.\nWork closely with stakeholders, including IT teams, management, and external vendors, to ensure security measures are effective.\nSupport cross-functional teams during security compliance assessments (e.g., CMMC, DCSA).\nCommunicate security risks and strategies to non-technical audiences. • In-office four to five days per week at Fairfax, VA SCIF location.\nWHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES:\nMission-Driven Professional: Collaborative contributor motivated by the opportunity to develop cutting-edge solutions that protect and serve both the nation and the world.\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.\n6+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information assurance roles.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong understanding of RMF, NIST 800-53, and system security engineering principles.\nHands-on experience with security tools such as ACAS, Nessus, SCC, Splunk, etc.\nKnowledge of system hardening encryption, access control, and network security.\nExcellent communication and presentation skills for engaging with customers and internal teams.\nStrong understanding of DoD standards and compliance requirements.\nRelevant certification(s): CISSP, CASP+, CEH, Security+, or other DoD 8140 related.
