The school is located at 440 Realty Dr, Gretna, Louisiana, United States.Role Description The Mathematics Teacher is a full-time, on-site position based in Gretna, LA. The teacher will plan, deliver, and assess math lessons aligned with school standards and grade-level objectives, using a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching multiple math classes, providing formative and summative assessments, and offering feedback to support student progress. The teacher will maintain classroom routines, manage behavior in a positive, respectful manner, and communicate regularly with families and colleagues about student learning. Additional duties include participating in curriculum planning, collaborating with the broader faculty, integrating Islamic values where appropriate, and contributing to school events, professional development, and departmental initiatives.QualificationsStrong subject-matter knowledge in Mathematics and Mathematics Education, with the ability to teach concepts clearly across different grade levels.Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development, including designing standards-based units, assessments, and differentiated learning activities.Status as a Qualified Teacher preferred, with relevant teaching certification or licensure (or eligibility), preferably in Mathematics or a closely related field.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Education, or a related discipline.Demonstrated classroom teaching experience in math, including effective classroom management and use of varied instructional strategies.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues in a diverse school community.Commitment to the mission and values of an Islamic school environment and to fostering students’ academic growth and character development.Comfort with basic educational technology for instruction, grading, and communication; willingness to engage in ongoing professional learning.
