The department oversees utilization management, case management, and care coordination activities, working closely with clinicians, providers, and internal teams. Medical Management reviews services for medical necessity, supports members with complex or chronic conditions, and helps guide members to the right care at the right time. Their work plays a key role in improving health outcomes, supporting compliance with clinical guidelines, and managing overall healthcare costs.In this role, you will:Assist with reviewing and analyzing clinical and operational data related to utilization trends, case management activities, and member needsSupport process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, clinical review workflows, and care coordination effortsHelp document departmental procedures, workflow updates, and best practice guidelinesParticipate in cross functional discussions with Provider Services, Claims, and other medical teams to understand how clinical decisions impact operationsContribute to research, reporting, and problem solving related to service requests, clinical programs, and member care pathwaysGain exposure to real world clinical operations and the decision making processes that support member health and organizational complianceQualifications: College students completing their junior or senior year in majors such as Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Finance, Marketing, or related fields. Strong academic performance and a keen interest in the health insurance industry. Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.
