You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our systems. This employee will be a member of the Information Technology IT Applications  team. The ideal candidate will be flexible and flourish in a fast-paced and challenging environment.  He or she should be a self-starter, self-motivator and possess ingenuity to excel at this position.\r\nRESPONSIBILITIES\r\n\r\nDesign, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines.\r\nAutomate deployment and monitoring processes to improve system reliability.\r\nImplement best practices across the environment and deployments.\r\nCollaborate closely with developers and other software engineering teams to streamline code integration and development.\r\nMonitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resources across hundreds of servers.\r\nMaintain and enhance logging, monitoring, and alerting systems with tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Influx, or other similar tools.\r\nEnsure high availability and disaster recovery strategies are in place and are practiced on a normal cadence.\r\nAdminister CI/CD applications and code repository applications.\r\nPropose and enforce best practices when it comes to building and releasing code.\r\nWork closely with developers and other software engineering teams.\r\nImplement automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines).\r\n\r\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS\r\n\r\nBachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems with 3+ years' experience in DevOps, SRE, or related role, OR 7+ years' experience in DevOps, SRE, or related role.\r\nExperience with Linux servers in physical, virtual, or containerized environment.\r\nExperience with administering code hosting and collaboration tools (Bitbucket, Github, GitLab) and CI tools (Bamboo, Jenkins).\r\n\r\nPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE\r\n\r\nExperience in automated monitoring tools (Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, etc).\r\nExperience with scripting using Bash, Python, Groovy, etc.\r\nProficiency with containerized applications using Docker or Kubernetes.\r\nExperience with automated deployments using Ansible, Chef, or other similar tools.\r\nExperience with version control and release management concepts (Git, SVN, Bitbucket).\r\nFlexibility and ability to flourish in a fast-paced and challenging environment.\r\nA self-starter with excellent motivation and ingenuity.\r\n\r\nADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS\r\n\r\nWilling to work extended hours or weekends as necessary.\r\nAbility to pass Air Force background checks for Cape Canaveral and Vandenberg.\r\n\r\nCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS\r\nPay Range\r\nIT Systems Engineer, Dev Ops: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00/year\r\nYour actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.\r\nBase salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You will also receive access to comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, access to a 401(k) retirement plan, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid parental leave, and various other discounts and perks. You may also accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation and will be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays per year. Employees in Washington State accrue paid sick time in compliance with state and federal law.
