You'll lead projects through all phases conceptual design, detailed analysis, construction documentation, and coordination-while working closely with architects, consultants, and clients.This is more than a production role. You'll:Shape structural solutions for complex, non-prescriptive buildingsLead and mentor engineersGuide performance-based design and peer review processesHave a real voice in project direction and deliveryYou'll be trusted with responsibility, supported by experienced colleagues, and given room to grow technically and professionally.What You'll Be DoingLead structural design efforts using a variety of systems and materialsDevelop construction documents, calculations, and technical narrativesManage and mentor in-house design teamsCoordinate closely with architects and design consultantsLead and participate in performance-based design, including peer reviewContribute to the design of commercial office, residential, and healthcare projectsHelp drive quality, efficiency, and thoughtful engineering solutionsWhat We're Looking ForMaster's degree in Civil Engineering (Structural emphasis)6+ years of structural design experienceLicensed Structural Engineer (S.E.)Experience with performance-based design of tall buildings and/or seismic renovationsWorking knowledge of LATB, ASCE 41, or similar methodologiesExperience navigating the peer review process for non-prescriptive structuresProven ability to lead teams and coordinate across disciplinesStrong communication skills and a collaborative mindsetWork Environment & TravelPrimarily office-based work with occasional site visits (Greater Seattle area)Some domestic travel for projects, conferences, or recruitingHybrid schedule: 3 days in-office / 2 days remote (after onboarding)Compensation & Benefits$110,000 - $150,000 base salary, depending on experiencePaid overtime for hours worked beyond 40/week (paid quarterly)Strong potential for career growth and leadership advancementMedical (HSA with employer contributions), dental, and visionCompany-paid life and AD&D insuranceORCA card provided15-27 days PTO, based on experience8 paid national holidays (including a floating holiday)401(k) with employer matchAnnual bonus and profit-sharing opportunitiesMonthly health & wellness stipendEmployee Assistance ProgramWhy This Role Stands OutThis firm was built with the belief that excellent engineering starts with strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and the communities they serve.
