Founded in Boston, Teradar’s solid-state, chip-scale technology unlocks safer, smarter vehicles and opens the door to transformative applications in mobility, defense, and beyond.We’re looking for an RF Characterization Engineer to drive test development and validation for our breakthrough sensor RFICs. This role is critical in ensuring quality, reliability, and performance as we transition from prototype to production in the ADAS and autonomous driving markets.What You DoDesign and implement RF, and mixed signal hardware (PCB test boards, probe cards)Characterize RF test circuits at the wafer and package level using state of the art probe stations, and/or over-the-air (OTA) measurement systemsDevelop wafer level characterization planWork with RF/AMS IC design engineers to develop test strategies, and characterization proceduresAutomate testing of RFICs using C++, Python, Matlab, or JavaWork with assembly houses or in-house technicians for PCBA assembly and/or reworkPerform data analysis on gathered data and generate detailed reports to be shared with design team, systems/hardware engineering, and RF ATE engineersRun simulation test benches in Cadence Virtuoso to thoroughly understand the operation of the underlying DUTPropose and implement novel measurement methodologies for mmW/THz OTA testingWhat You BringEducation: degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering (or related).5+ years in RF hardware development and test engineeringStrong experience with test system development, and debugging using tools like spectrum analyzer, VNA, oscilloscopeProficiency in C++, Python, Java, and LabView for scripting and automationSolid understanding of both analog and digital test methods. RF/mixed-signal experience is a plus.Solid understanding protocols like SPI and I2CFamiliarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; ability to thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional setting.Bonus PointsExperience testing mmWave or RFIC-based systems.Background in RF and microwave test engineering for consumer productsPrevious work in a fast-paced startup or early-stage product environment.Knowledge of sensor technologies and their role in ADAS/Autonomous Vehicles.
