This role is critical for a high-density infrastructure (1,000+ devices) and requires an architect capable of navigating complex technical landscapes during sensitive organizational transitions, including Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A). The successful candidate will ensure network stability, scalability, and security across global locations.Core Competencies (Must-Have Requirements)Candidates must demonstrate verifiable project-level expertise in the following:Enterprise Routing & Switching: Advanced mastery of Cisco hardware, software, and protocols.Advanced Security: Extensive hands-on experience with Fortinet / FortiGate Firewalls and security fabrics.SD-WAN Technologies: Specialized architecture experience in both VMware VeloCloud and Fortinet SD-WAN.Wireless Infrastructure: Expert configuration and design of Aruba wireless networking solutions.Cloud Networking: Proficiency in Microsoft Azure networking and SaaS platform integration.Strategic M&A: Proven experience managing network integrations, audits, and migrations during Mergers & Acquisitions.Key ResponsibilitiesHigh-Level Design (HLD/LLD): Author and maintain comprehensive High-Level and Low-Level Design documentation for global network architectures.Network Modernization: Design and implement scalable network solutions across hardware, software, and protocols (Routers, Switches, VPNs, and Virtualization).Integration Leadership: Drive the technical execution of network mergers and acquisitions, ensuring seamless data flow and security integrity between disparate systems.Project Governance: Manage the full project lifecycle—including planning, execution, and monitoring—to ensure timely delivery of infrastructure milestones.Resiliency Planning: Lead disaster recovery and capacity planning initiatives in coordination with enterprise application teams to ensure 24/7 business continuity.Automation & Optimization: Implement network automation tools and technologies to streamline design and management processes.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Provide technical guidance to stakeholders and mentor implementation teams, communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical business leaders.Technical Depth & StandardsInfrastructure Scope: Experience managing environments with 1,000+ active network devices.Regulatory & Security: Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles to protect network integrity and maintain data privacy standards.Certifications: CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) or CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) is highly preferred and serves as a primary indicator of technical proficiency.Logistics: Ability to travel extensively to Beachwood, OH if working remotely; must be able to clear a comprehensive background check (BGV).
