The Maintenance Electrician will perform preventative and reactive maintenance on all electrical equipment and building.\nKey Responsibilities and Duties\n· Follows all established safety and good manufacturing practices (GMP) for area assigned company policies and procedures and recognized practices.\n· Reads and interprets drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.\n· Installs, examines, replaces, or repairs electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, and other electrical components.\n· Tests electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.\n· Maintains, repairs, tests, and installs electrical motors, hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.\n· Troubleshoots, maintains and repairs industrial control systems and related devices including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), distributed control systems, Servos, Drives and Robotic Controllers.\n· Conducts preventive maintenance programs and keeps accurate maintenance records.\n· May install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices as required.\n· Assist and train production employees in proper operation and maintenance of machinery.\n· Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment to meet or exceed company established Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) expectations and customer quality expectations.\n· Proactive in addressing inefficiencies of production equipment.\n· Install, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment.\n· Troubleshoot basic hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical and process problems with equipment as needed or directed by Maintenance Manager.\n· Use power tool equipment in a safe manner to avoid injury or harm to self or other employees.\n· Perform scheduled Preventative Maintenance tasks as outlined by Maintenance Manager.\n· Evaluate production report comments prior to performing maintenance to ensure all causes for production inefficiencies are addressed and corrected.\nExperience, Educational and Technical Qualifications\nMaintenance Electrician should possess a sense of urgency, accountability, business ethics, professionalism, self-motivation and the desire and focus to improve the business.\nMaintenance Electrician must possess a two-year Associates degree in electrical related field; and other technical certifications and training applicable to industrial maintenance electrical system in a manufacturing environment.\nMaintenance Electrician must possess a minimum of four-five years industrial maintenance electrician experience.\nAbilities Required\n· Must be able to come to work promptly and regularly.\n· Must be able to take direction and work well with others.\n· Must be able to work under the stress of deadlines.\n· Must be able to concentrate and perform accurately.\n· Must be able to react to change productively and to handle other tasks as assigned.\nPhysical Activity Required:\nClimbing:\nAscending or descending ladders, stairs and equipment, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Needs good body agility.\nStooping:\nBending body downward and forward by bending spine at waist.
