With unrivaled experience in the design, manufacture, and marketing of precision test instrumentation for over 20 years, we serve customers across the scientific research, telecommunications, and optical metrology markets.\nThe role of the Process Engineer is to identify and quantify opportunities for improving production processes and testing for quality and throughput. Utilizing engineering fundamentals and continuous improvement tools across all production processes and product lines.\nResponsibilities:\nAnalyze workflows to minimize defects, reduce cycle times, and improve overall operational yield. Implement the necessary changes.\nConduct research to develop new and improved processes for assembly & testing.\nSupport production processes through proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.\nConduct testing and analysis on production equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.\nDesign and implement modifications and upgrades to production equipment and processes.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and improve processes.\nMechanical CAD design (preference for SolidWorks) part print generation and fixture design. Including sustainability where applicable\nProcess ECN’s, BOM generation, and cost modeling.\nTrain and support production personnel as required\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation and records\nInterface with vendors in regard to technical specifications and applications\nSupport Engineering with ECN’s and BOM edits.\nUtilize ERP system for data analysis\nUtilize diagnostic tools to ensure systems meet performance specifications.\nCore Qualifications:\nExperience: Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in the assembly and testing of electro-optical systems or similar high-precision technologies.\nTechnical Skills: Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma. Experience with software a plus.\nEducation: Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or 15 years equivalent experience.\nPhysical requirements: Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs at waist level for under 1 minute. Must be able to lift up to 17 lbs above head for under 1 minute. Standing, walking, bending, kneeling for extended periods.\nTeam Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment while managing individual responsibilities.
