Tuition Assistance Program.\r\nFocus: The Pull-down Operator is responsible for safely running machinery that disassembles ammunition.\r\nPull-down operator Essential Job Functions:\r\n\r\nOperate and monitor pull-down equipment and machinery; performs mechanical adjustments and repairs to production equipment.\r\nVisual inspections of parts and machinery, to ensure manufacturing specifications are achieved.\r\nPerform routine maintenance checks and report mechanical issues promptly.\r\n\r\nPull-down operator Minimum Requirements:\r\n\r\nMust be at least 18 years of age.\r\nMust have current driver's license.\r\nBasic working knowledge of mechanical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\r\nPrevious experience operating mechanical production type equipment; prior mechanical experience at Lake City Army Ammunition Plant strongly preferred.\r\nAbility to use power and non-power hand tools.\r\nAbility to stand for prolonged periods, reach overheard, twist and bend at the waist, climb ladders and stairs.\r\nAbility to lift and carry 30-40 lbs., push up to 1,000 lbs. pounds, including team lifts and use of support devices (hand cart, pallet jacks, gondolas, etc.)\r\nAbility and willingness to work any shift, including weekends and overtime.\r\n\r\nLocation-Specific Requirements:\r\n\r\nThis position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.\r\nThis position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.\r\nThis position requires successful vetting for unescorted access in accordance with U.S. Army and Department of Defense access policies. The US Government does not allow non-US citizens on-site at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant.
