Attendance and Athletic Secretary (2026-2027)
QualificationsHigh School DiplomaPrior experience with working with PowerSchool, student attendance, analyzing data, or strong background with technologyWorking knowledge of basic office procedures and the operation of common office equipment and machines.Professional office experience and love for children.Ability to take instructions and work well with others.Passion for working with the public.Fine attention to detail.Reports to: Principal and Athletic DirectorJob GoalTo provide a well-organized, smoothly functioning office supporting student attendance and athletics. To provide assistance to staff and public when needed.Performance ResponsibilitiesPerforms usual office routines and practices associated with a busy and productive office environment.Completes State Department and South Carolina High School League reports/eligibility.Monitors athletic eligibility paperwork.Prepares daily attendance record keeping.Makes phone calls to parent/guardian regarding attendance after 3 days.Distributes attendance letter for 5 days unexcused/10 days unexcused absences.Helps organize and plan athletic events/practices.Assists with bookkeeping for the athletic department.Any other duties assigned by supervisor.Terms Of Employment195-day contract. FMSD (S4) Salary Schedule. 7 hours per day. Non-exempt.Evaluation: Performance on this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the board's policy on evaluation of non-certified personnel.
