Account Manager

Position Overview:The Account Manager is responsible for supporting large national retail accounts across Whimsocal brands in partnership with the Sales Directors. While Sales Directors maintain primary external customer relationships, the Account Manager plays a critical role in account execution, forecasting, reporting, and cross-functional coordination to drive revenue growth and operational excellence.This role owns day-to-day account management activities, financial tracking, promotional execution, and internal alignment. The Account Manager works closely with the admin team to ensure accurate order execution, compliance, and reporting, while providing mentorship and workflow direction to administrative support.Key Responsibilities:Account Support & Strategic Execution·        Partner with Sales Directors to support assigned national accounts·        Assist in developing account strategies and annual business plans·        Prepare line reviews, customer presentations, quotes, and proposals·        Execute promotional programs and pricing initiatives in alignment with sales strategy·        Monitor account performance and provide data-driven recommendations·        Provide data-driven recommendations to improve revenue and profitability·        Support new product launches, distribution drives, and seasonal initiatives Forecasting & Financial Management·        Develop and maintain accurate 3, 6, and 12-month forecasts in collaboration with Sales Directors·        Analyze POS data, inventory levels, and customer replenishment trends·        Identify risks to revenue targets and proactively recommend mitigation plans·        Monitor promotional ROI and margin impact·        Partner with Finance to ensure pricing accuracy and discount compliance Customer & Internal Coordination·        Support Sales Directors in maintaining strong relationships with buyers·        Participate in account meetings and follow up on action items·        Serve as internal point of coordination for account-related execution·        Ensure alignment between Sales, Operations, Finance, and Production·        Communicate updates related to product availability, launches, and order flowOperational Execution & Administrative LeadershipProvide daily direction and workflow prioritization to the admin team supporting assigned accountsMentor and guide admin team members to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and accountabilityDelegate tasks appropriately while maintaining ownership of account performanceReview order accuracy, compliance requirements, and routing guide adherencePartner with Production to ensure product availability and allocation accuracyEnsure flawless execution of order book and product allocation based on account prioritiesReporting & Performance ManagementProvide weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance summaries to Sales Directors and leadershipTrack key metrics including sales, margin, promotional lift, and inventory positionSupport annual operating plan developmentIdentify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and executionPerform other duties as assigned by management to support business objectivesSkills and Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field preferred 3–7 years of account management or sales experience in CPG, wholesale, or retail environment Experience managing major retail accounts preferred Strong financial acumen and forecasting ability Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills Highly organized with strong accountability and follow-through Proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills required) ERP experience (SAP preferred)Key Competencies:Account Ownership & AccountabilityStrategic Planning & ExecutionFinancial AcumenLeadership & Team GuidanceRevenue Growth MindsetCross-Functional CollaborationData Analysis & Reporting
