This footage helps train robotics and embodied-AI systems to understand how people use their hands. There is no acting and no script — the goal is authentic, clean, well-framed activity.\n\nMain Responsibilities:\n\nWear a head-mounted capture device (PICO 4 Ultra) for the duration of scheduled recording sessions\nPerform assigned everyday tasks naturally while keeping your hands and the objects you handle clearly in view\nFollow the task guidelines, scene setup, and moderator instructions for each session\nRecord short, self-contained task clips (Target average ~1 minute)\nKeep both hands visible and in frame for the large majority of every clip\nHandle quick device checks between takes (confirming the headset is recording, charged, and connected)\nMaintain the cleanliness and care of shared equipment (Sanitation supplies provided)\nBasic troubleshooting of the equipment - as needed\nEnsure first-person (POV) perspective with a clear, stable view of the hands and manipulated objects\nMaintain natural, uninterrupted movement; avoid sudden or jerky head motions\nEnsure good, even lighting in the work area\nRecord one task as one continuous clip\nEnsure footage meets the program's quality bar with a target >90% acceptance rate\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n\n18 years of age or older\nBased in the commutable distance in Pittsburgh, PA\nAble to comfortably wear an 8–10 lb head/body pack for up to 8 hours\nComfortable operating VR/AR headsets without adverse effects (e.g., no motion sensitivity or motion sickness)\nEye-hand coordination & manual dexterity: Able to perform everyday object-manipulation tasks smoothly, precisely, and repeatedly while keeping the hands within the camera's field of view\nHand size within the 25th–75th percentile (For glove fit)\nBasic technology comfort: Able to follow simple device steps such as powering on the headset, connecting it to Wi-Fi or a mobile hotspot, pairing over Bluetooth, and starting/stopping a recording with light guidance\nReliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow structured instructions precisely\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nPrior experience in data collection, QA, or task-based gig work\nExperience with consumer VR/AR headsets or action cameras\nComfortable working to a schedule in a supervised, repetitive-task environment\n\nTELUS Values:\n\nTELUS recognizes and embraces the importance of values in our ever-changing workplace.
