Material Handler/Driver
Summary
The Material Handler/Driver is responsible for, but not limited to, counting, cutting, loading, and distributing materials. During downtime the Material Handler/Driver may help in other departments, such as in shipping, or assembly and may be asked to aid in the production floor, to load and unload raw materials or partially.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Utilize CNC saws and various equipment to cut, distribute, store, and organize materials.
Maintain or exceed job production standard.
Sustain a safe, efficient, and clean work environment.
Responsible for the general maintenance and clean-up of the shop.
Organize materials, hardware, and fixtures.
Performs local pick-ups and deliveries as directed by the Shipping/Receiving Manager
Assists the Shipping Department with packaging/identification as time allows
Maintains the company vehicles to assure they are clean and in proper working condition
Maintains a log of all company related travel by vehicle used
Perform other job-related duties.
Qualifications and Skills
Must be able up to lift 50 lbs.
Basic math and writing skills.
Able to communicate effectively with management and fellow employees
Have previous driving, delivery and unloading min. 2 yrs. experience preferred.
Have a valid California Driver’s License, no DUI’s, or reckless driving in the last 4 years.
Education / Experience
High School diploma or GED or proven experience in a similar field
Measurement tools, forklift, and blueprint experience preferred.
Schedule:
8 hour day shift
Monday to Friday
