Warren AFB, WY; Malmstrom AFB, MT; and Minot AFB, ND. Sentinel is a critical U.S. Air Force program that will recapitulate the nation's aging ground‑based segment of the nuclear triad – the Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM).\n\nThis is an onsite position offering a 9X80 work schedule (every other Friday off), paid overtime, and a strong work/life balance. Relocation allowance may be provided for candidates not located in the Ogden area.\n\nKey Duties\n\nDevelop, refine, and implement Fire Protection documents and tools.\n\nAssist in the development of fire protection program requirements.\n\nMaintain in‑depth knowledge of the fire protection discipline.\n\nAssess the implementation of and compliance with the Fire Protection Plan (FPP).\n\nIdentify and report deficiencies to management.\n\nReview and maintain understanding of facility Fire Hazard Analyses.\n\nMaintain knowledge of facilities’ fire protection features, process flow diagrams, system design descriptions, facility design descriptions, and documented safety analyses (DSAs).\n\nPerform facility audits according to the Fire Protection Facility Assessment plan and periodically review Pre‑Fire Response Plans.\n\nAssist in the coordination of fire department familiarization tours.\n\nPerform and record monthly facility fire protection inspections.\n\nMaintain functional understanding of inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM) for fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems.\n\nPerform Hot Work Permit program oversight, audits, and evaluations.\n\nPerform Technical Safety Requirements inspections of assigned facilities.\n\nProvide backup to the fire protection staff to ensure implementation of the FPP.\n\nIdentify and implement actions to improve and correct deficiencies in the FPP implementation.\n\nAssist in the identification and clarification of fire protection attributes in the planning process to ensure work is accomplished per FPP requirements.\n\nAssist in the development and approval of compensatory actions for fire system impairments.\n\nArrange for and/or perform presentations, oral reports, planning meetings, and other formal and informal contacts.\n\nOversee field activities through inspections, testing, and equipment operations.\n\nRequired Skills, Experience, and Education\n\nOnly U.S. citizens are eligible.\n\nAbility to obtain a Secret Clearance.\n\nAccess to federal facilities; must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID‑compliant driver’s license or state‑issued ID card at the time of hire.\n\nAbility to complete a pre‑employment background check and drug screening, including testing for marijuana use.\n\n2 or more years of fire protection experience.\n\nExperience designing Fire Protection systems in unique/large facilities (non‑residential).\n\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering.\n\nDesired Skills, Experience, and Education\n\nP.E.
